How to take alcohol on a cruise ship?

One of the things that people enjoy doing when they go on a cruise is to drink alcohol. Unfortunately many cruise liners have changed rules in recent years to not allow alcohol onboard the ship. This is in part because of losses in potential alcoholic beverages on the ship. Most people would buy bottles of whiskey before boarding a ship and then drink them with coke purchased on board. However this was literally millions of dollars in potential lost revenue for the ships. Thus they made strict policies not to allow alcohol onboard.

Many people still however will bring alcohol onboard a ship, and they do so because they do not feel that paying the 7 dollars per drink is worth it when they can buy a bottle of alcohol for 25 dollars and make at least 30 drinks out of it or more. For this reason they purchase rum runners to conceal their alcohol. These can be bought online for about 10 bucks, and are easily concealed within luggage because of being made completely out of plastic.

Thousands of people have used rum runners and never had a problem bringing on alcohol to cruise ships. Others however have tried filling plastic water bottles with Vodka, after which they have been asked to empyt them out. This can be embarassing, and not a fun way to start a cruise.

In no way are we promoting the use of rum runners, but if you should decide to bring on alcohol to a ship, this is one of the best ways to do it. You will not only save money, but will have the luxury of making drinks in your own quarters at any point durng your voyage.
